The Sorry Sunflower (Original & Prints)
‘The Sorry Sunflower’ is an original watercolour by Lee Bagley-Bramwell.
I was on a 7.5-mile hike around the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside when we walked through a sunflower field. I stopped to take a photo of this particular sunflower as it caught my eye. Something was interesting about it for me.
A fellow hiker told me, Lee, you've taken a photo of the most sorry-looking sunflower in the entire field. I didn't care; I was taking this image with me and now it has been captured in photographs and my artwork.
This is what we call a line-and-wash piece. This is when you combine watercolour paints with waterproof ink.
